The Woodland International Trail Run Fun Race (Race Event) will be featured at the Opening week of the biggest event in Sampaloc Tanay Rizal for 2023, the “Woodland Music, Art, and Food Fest ’23” (Woodland MAFF ’23)

The Race Event is organized and managed by Pimco Sporting Events under Pimco Business Solutions Co. (Pimco) and sponsored by the partner developers of Woodland Holiday & Leisure Park (Woodland Park). A Joint Venture Park development for holiday and leisure, rest and recreation venue for both domestic and foreign tourist guests and visitors in Sampaloc which is becoming the Tourism Capital of Tanay, Rizal due to its year-round cool weather, beautiful mountain sceneries and views. It is the home of hotels and resorts that cater to tourists however Sampaloc has no public parks for visitors to relax, eat, and play without paying for entrance fees. Woodland will be opened to the public after the event with Food Park, walkway, benches, toilets, and other facilities.

Shown above is the Venue of the International Trail Run Fun Race which is inside the Woodland Holiday & Leisure Park under development and will soon open to offer Outdoor Adventures to tourists, guests, and visitors. It can accommodate even up to a thousand participating runners. Since a trail run is a special event and highlight at the opening week of Woodland MAFF '23 runners will be able to enjoy the festival of Music, Art, and Food at the same time.

Categories for the Race Event

Separate Division for Women’s Division and Men’s Division

a. Newbies 5k = P800.00

b. Advanced 10k = P1,000.00

c. Seasoned 21k = P1,500.00

Champion for Women’s and Men’s Division in 10k and 21k with Medals and Cash Prizes

2nd and 3rd Place for Women’s and Men’s Division Non-Cash Prizes and Medals

Top Ten Runners for each Division Certificates of Recognition for the Top Ten Finishers

Finisher Shirts for all who registered early and within the cut-off date of Registration.

All Finishers will receive a Certificate of Recognition.

REGISTRATION:

Online Registration. Registration will be available online at Pimco's Facebook Page. All-online registration will start SOON. Early Bird Registration will get 20% Discount. Onsite Registration will be available at Partner’s Official registration venue. Onsite Registration will be available at the venue from Saturdays and Sundays to be announced.  The last Day of Registration will be announced, to give time for the Finisher's Shirts and  

Registration Guideline:

For Online Registration please ensure to fill up the information required such as a valid contact number and email address. Registration shall not be automatically accepted instead you will be contacted on your mobile phone or email address to verify if you are the one registering for yourself. Use of other names for registration is strictly prohibited, Late or special Registration if there’s any will be announced after the regular registration has ended.

Any Finishers kit available in case regular registrants failed to attend the race shall be on a first-come, first-serve basis. A redemption voucher shall be given to finishers who are late registrants.

*This is an open competition which means no age limit except for children below 13 years old. All children 17 and below must be accompanied by parents or guardians and should have the expressed approval of the parents or guardian to compete in the categories and races. As an open competition, registration will be available to both local and foreign national runners.

Foreign nationals are welcome to compete in any category.

Assembly and Gun Start

4:00 am Assembly Time at the Starting Line

5:00 am Gun Start of Seasoned (21k)

5:15 am Gun Start of Advanced (10k)

5:30 am Gun Start of Newbies (5k)

Cut-Off Time

Seasoned (21k), Advanced (10k), and Newbies (5k) all have the same cut-off of 7 hours so runners should all be at the finish line by 12:00 noon. The sweeper shall bring the runners back to the venue and shall not be allowed to cross the finish line as DNFs.

Awarding of Winners

Awarding of Winners shall commence at 11:00 am or when all the winners of all categories have already crossed the finish line whichever comes first. Should winners in each category are not yet complete and identified, Awarding may be delayed to allow winners to be completed.

Hydration - Runners are provided with “refilling stations” for free hydration. Please bring at least a 20oz hydration bottle. In observance of Environmental laws, we will not serve cups in the stations along the race route not more than 5 kilometers apart.

Banana – Free bananas for the runners are available in designated stations and at the Finish Line for the needed potassium supply of the body.

Runners should bring their own energy drinks and replenishment. Some sponsors may at times provide sampling of their products but this is not guaranteed.

Food Services – There will be food vendors setting up booths at affordable prices for the runners, you may buy your own food. There are also food services outlets nearby the venue the choices are varied but prices are affordable. Runners may avail any time of the day.

Accommodation – There will be available spaces for overnight camping at the venue – Woodland Holiday & Leisure Park Camper Delight for those on a budget while there are available resorts and hotels around the area near the venue. Those without tents can just rent tents in advance. For campers with tents, the fee is P900.00 per night per head. There are available toilets and baths. Campers will enjoy the convenience of the availability of different choices of food and drinks as well as the nightly live music from various artists. Registered Runners have free access to the Music Fest to watch and listen to various musical artists.

Public Transportation – There is available public transportation however for those not taking the shuttle. You can take Jeeps or AUVs, and shuttle from Shaw Blvd, Mandaluyong going to Tanay, and then take a tricycle going to Barangay Sampaloc. There are Jeeps available at Cubao going Cogeo from there you can take Jeep going Sampaloc. The Cogeo jeep is available only from 5 am to 7 pm so it is suggested to take this only if runners plan to get accommodation in resorts, hotels, or camp at the venue from September 1 or 2.
